Missing my Dad, Brooks Wilson, January 9, 1929 – October 19, 1995.

18 years ago today, October 19, 1995, my Dad, Brooks Wilson, crossed over way too soon. He was the smartest person I ever knew, and was way ahead of his time. He predicted many of the issues facing our world today many years ago and actually documented many of his thoughts. Unfortunately, those writings never made it past the front door. He did make it a point once to ride the bus over to NYC to briefly shake hands with Ray Bradbury, but that’s as far as it went. I once offered to come pick him up on one of my tours in NJ so we could hang out together on the road and catch up. He jokingly said, “If I go anywhere, I don’t wanna come back”. We both laughed, but later when I wrote this song about him, I didn’t realize how true that was. I sure do miss him and not a day goes by that I don’t think about him. https://soundcloud.com/rogerhurricanewilson/i-dont-wanna-come-back
