Roger “Hurricane” Wilson is a musician who loves his work and is always active and willing to do lots of things. He has published thirty albums up to now and this is the one that makes number thirty-one. However, it is the first one he has recorded with his new formed trio, which includes Paul Arredondo on bass, Sandra Senn on drums and Roger on guitar and vocals.

Paul and Sandra had already worked together for some years. It was in a jam session where they met Roger and soon the idea of setting up a stable trio came to their minds. After several rehearsals and short appearances in various local jams, they felt ready to start to play regular gigs in local venues.

From these shows they presented a video and later they decided to record from a couple of nights live shows at Maxwell’s Cigar Bar in Woodstock, Georgia. The result is this album that captures the relaxed atmosphere of those two concerts, as well as the energy and the attractive sound they developed during the two nights that, both the trio and the audience totally enjoyed.

After years of hard work, to play simply for the pleasure of making music and sharing it with the audience, has been a really rewarding experience that Roger now wants to share with everyone who gets a copy of the album.

Of the twelve songs included in the recording, four are Roger’s own compositions and the rest are versions of not very well-known songs, apart from “Apache” which was popularized by The Shadows and “Help Me” by Sonny Boy Williamson.

I am sure that Roger will surprise us very soon with new proposals that, at least, will be so attractive and interesting as this one.
