Roger ‘Hurricane’ Wilson “Live At The Time Out Pub – Rockland, Maine”. BlueStorm 2021.

The Time Out Pub has always been a must for all the great bluesmen who were touring Rockland area in Maine. Its Monday night jams became legendary and thanks to Paul Benjamin, founder of the North Atlantic Blues Festival, this pub welcomed all the stars who performed in the festival, which stayed one more night just to be able to go and play at this iconic pub. Bluestorm Records and Roger “Hurricane” Wilson now publish a cd recorded live from this club in 2010, with ten songs that communicate all the feeling, passion and determination of live music. In these shows Roger’s guitar and vocals were backed by The Pennsylvania Railroad Rhythm Section with Harry Werner on bass and Scott Stump on drums, two musicians who knew how to give the requested strength to turn their performances into a real party. Roger is flawless both on guitar and vocals along an accurate song selection. In the album you will find songs like Sonny Boy Williamson’s “Checkin’ Up On My Baby”, Willie Dixon’s “Third Degree” or “Honey Hush”, as well as a handful of Wilson’s own compositions, all them communicating to listeners the most genuine electric blues. GREAT.
